Are the votes really anonymous?

Absolutely! It's actually a strong requirement I don't want to debate on. The AI assistants never see who voted what either. As a scrum master, you should guess who voted what anyway. The goal of this tool is to leverage the data via a relevant chart to speak to your management.

The local storage is used to avoid voting twice. Only the survey UUID is stored, not even the actual vote neither the comment.

Completing the local storage topic: the cookies. One cookie is used to store the authentication token when you are logged in. Which applies to scrum masters only. Nevertheless, scrum masters can anonymously vote too! Another cookie is used to store the language you select when clicking on the footer.

Can an AI assistant read my teams' data?

Only if you connect one, and with your permissions: it sees what you see in SmileAgile, nothing more. Never who voted what: the results are aggregated, and the comments are given as text to analyze, never as instructions. You can revoke its access at any time in My Profile, and the voters are told, on the vote page, that their comments may be analyzed with AI tools.

Is this a finalized product?

Nope, as finalized might mean... its end of life! That being said, I use it for quite some time, along peers. It's actively maintained: the latest additions are an MCP server for your AI assistants, the sign in with Google, and a new look.

So, is it free?

Yes, and it will stay free: the team leads shouldn't have to pay to help their company. The code is open source. Nevertheless AWS is not free! A 'Become a SmileAgile sponsor' program will let the companies share the hosting costs.

What is the licence?

The code is under the ISC license. My Git repository is not public yet, I need to fix some code I'm ashamed of first!
